- App store subscriptions: cancel in your phone’s subscription settings, not in the app.
- Online services: look in account settings under billing or membership.
- Gyms and contracts: check your agreement; some require written notice.
Get proof
Screenshot the confirmation page or save the email. Note the date your access ends.
If you are still charged
- Contact the company with your proof.
- If that fails, dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer.
- As a last resort, ask your bank about blocking future charges from that merchant.
